.:Slicing Tutorial:.
Open Adobe Imageready (my version is 7) and open the images you wish to slice. I chose this one:
You may want to think first on how to slice your image before, but I normally I don't "plan" it out like this, I just "plan" it in my head. ;) In this case, I "drew" a "picture" to show you how I'm going to slice the image. (each slice is in a different shade of purple)
*Note: You can just make simple boxes that have the same size. It's really up to you. I just like to slice my images this way, though it's not really recommended.
Now, select the slice tool (
) and start slicing! XD I would recommend you to start directly on the side instead of in the middle. If you pressed right beside the image, you'll notice that the orange line turns into a blue color, like how the screen shot shows.
After you made your slice, you will see a orange box that represents it. Don't worry when the rest of the image turns into a paler color. It's supposed to, so don't worry. =) If you want to change the size of the box, then just simply click and drag one of the orange "dots".
TIPS
NOTE* BOXES THAT ARE SLICED HAS A BLUE RECTANGLE ON THE TOP LEFT CORNER. BOXES THAT AREN'T/NEEDED TO BE SLICED HAS A GREY RECTANGLE ON THE TOP LEFT CORNERAnyway, this is how I sliced mine:
You may run into this situation, where you see blue dotted lines on your image. The reason for that is you didn't slice them. I made an example in the screen shot. I added color to make it easier for you to notice. The box that has dark purple are the ones that has been sliced. The boxes in light purple are ones that needs to be sliced. And you should notice that the boxes with light purple is inside blue dotted lines. Make sure you slice those boxes~~ X3

This is something to NOT do: Don't slice millions of boxes blindly. If you want to make them small, at least make them organized. In the screenshot below, again, I filled the boxes that needs to be sliced. And look! They're inside dotted lines! .__." Now you'll need to be even more careful to slice up the remaining boxes.

It turned out just like I "planned" 8D:
You're almost done! =) Press CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+S and a box will pop up. Make you're settings like mine, and you're done! =3
